Hygienic design: PHT foam cleaning satellites in an optimised housing
The core idea of hygienic design is to prevent germs, bacteria, other microorganisms or contamination from coming into contact with food through constructive measures. The easy cleaning of machines and systems and their material properties play a central role.
Typical features of the hygienic design are:
- Smooth surfaces
- Avoidance of depressions, elevations or notches
- Use of germ-inhibiting, stainless materials
- Avoidance of spaces that are difficult or impossible to reach, also known as damaged or dead space
Efficient foam cleaning with optimised PHT satellites
We have consistently implemented these principles and features in our optimised foam cleaning satellites such as the SU NEXT 0127. The satellite enables simple rinsing, foaming and disinfection with pressurised water. Up to three media can be applied via a central outlet at up to 27 bar. There is no need to change working hoses. Permanently installed limiting nozzles ensure constant dosing of the cleaning agents.

What does the hygienic design look like?
The housing is made entirely of stainless steel. Stainless steel is resistant to germs due to its smooth surface. Even after frequent cleaning, the surface remains very smooth. This means that germs cannot find a suitable breeding ground. There are no unnecessary recesses or knobs. The bevelled roof prevents waterlogging, a typical breeding ground for germs.
A new feature is the lever on the front of the appliance, which makes it easier to operate. In addition, the housing of the satellite can be easily cleaned by placing the lever on all sides, which minimises the risk of contamination.
We have also dispensed with a separate lever for switching the air on and off on some of the optimised satellites – and thus with a further depression or elevation.
Not only the housing, but also the inner workings are hygienically designed. For example, a water drain valve in the air line prevents water from entering the compressed air line. This increases safety and prevents possible water accumulation. A ball valve at the satellite inlet also ensures that no air can flow back into the supply line. This also improves safety.
In a nutshell: the PHT display cleaning satellites in the new design combine easy handling, safety and hygiene.
