Modern low-pressure foam cleaning for the food industry: efficient, hygienic, sustainable

Maximum hygiene, minimum costs – PHT’s modular low-pressure foam cleaning systems make cleaning in food processing plants easier, more economical, and more environmentally friendly.

Why foam cleaning is standard today

Whether in meat processing, dairy production, or beverage bottling, hygienic cleanliness is essential. At the same time, demands for efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness are increasing.
PHT’s low-pressure foam cleaning offers the ideal solution here:
  • High cleaning performance at low pressure (5–25 bar)
  • Low consumption of water, chemicals, and energy
  • Short rinsing times
  • Reduced aerosol formation – less risk of recontamination
Thanks to innovative technology, PHT’s low-pressure foam cleaning offers maximum user-friendliness and efficiency and has been impressing numerous companies in the food industry for years.

Key advantages at a glance

  • One system for all cleaning processes: from pre-cleaning and foam application to disinfection
  • NEXT technology – 3 chemicals via one outlet
  • Individually scalable: perfect adaptation to operation and requirements
  • Compatible with acids and alkalis
  • Government-subsidized: BAFA subsidies for systems with energy-efficient IE5 motors

Flexible system solution – tailored to your business

The PHT cleaning systems have a modular design and can be adapted precisely to the operational conditions:

1. Main station
The main station is a stationary solution with an integrated pressure booster system – ideal for local cleaning areas. Equipped with a rinsing hose and accessories, all cleaning tasks can be conveniently carried out centrally here.

2. Pressure booster system
The booster system increases the water pressure on the mains side and supplies several cleaning stations with pressurized water via a pipe system. It is the ideal solution for larger food businesses with high water consumption and demanding hygiene standards. Typically, a pressure booster system is installed centrally in the plant room.

PHT systems are frequency-controlled, which means that the output is automatically adjusted to the current water demand. This minimizes energy consumption and wear. A powerful stainless steel centrifugal pump ensures reliable and hygienically perfect water delivery – even under continuous heavy use.
An integrated flow monitor continuously monitors the flow rate in the system. This allows the system to react immediately to deviations and detect malfunctions at an early stage – for maximum operational reliability and efficiency.

3. Satellite stations with NEXT injector block
The connected satellite stations are the heart of the modular solution. What makes PHT satellites special is that they are equipped with the innovative “NEXT” injector block, which allows foam, rinsing, and cleaning processes to be customized. Users can switch between functions with a single hand movement and can use up to three chemicals via a single outlet. This ensures maximum flexibility and the highest level of hygiene safety.

How low-pressure foam cleaning works

Step 1: Pressurized water is fed through a nozzle.
Step 2: Negative pressure draws the cleaning agent from the canister.
Step 3: Compressed air is added and foams up the water-chemical mixture.
Step 4: The foam is applied evenly to the surface.
Step 5: After the application time, rinsing or disinfection takes place.
You can switch between water, foam, or disinfectant with a single movement—intuitively, safely, and quickly.
The nozzles are interchangeable, allowing for precise adaptation to different cleaning requirements.

Sustainable cleaning with the PHT Green Button

While eco-programs have long been standard in household appliances, this has not been the case for professional foam cleaning until now. PHT has changed this with the innovative PHT Green Button, which reduces energy consumption by up to 50% and water consumption by around 20%.

Targeted pressure reduction – conserving resources

The Eco function allows the working pressure to be reduced by 10 bar at the touch of a button during cleaning – directly on the device, without interrupting the process. This is because lower pressure is sufficient to achieve optimum results, especially during intermediate and final rinsing. This not only saves resources, but also reduces costs and protects the equipment.

Efficiency that pays off

In eco mode, the appliance consumes only 1.3 kWh instead of 2.7 kWh – a reduction of more than half. The difference is also evident in water consumption: on average, up to 348 liters less flow through the pipe per hour.
With the Green Button, food businesses are not only investing in environmental protection, but also in more economical cleaning.
We would be happy to show you how and where the use of the eco program is particularly worthwhile in your business.

Greater efficiency – lower costs: Take advantage of government subsidies

The use of energy-efficient pumps with IE5 motors makes BAFA funding possible – a clear advantage for investments in modern hygiene technology.

Our team will be happy to advise you on choosing the right solution and, if you wish, will also assist you with applying for subsidies.
