The use of the ‘break tank’ prevents contaminated water from flowing back into the water supply network. This can occur if there is negative pressure in the water supply network. To prevent this, a gap is installed between the water inlet from the water pipe and the water level in the tank. The water falls into a boiler where it is heated. From there, the water is pumped into the washing machine at the required pressure via a booster pump. This has the advantage that the dishes are washed with constant pressure, a sufficient water supply and constantly hot rinsing water. Backflow protection in the water supply line ensures that the water never mixes.
